What a Typical Session with Me Looks Like

A typical session with me is all about you-no judgment, no rush. We start by creating a safe space where you can show up exactly as you are, whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or ready to dig into something deeper. We’ll work together to explore your emotions, your patterns, and what’s been getting in the way of living the way you want to.

I use a mix of trauma-informed approaches and EMDR to help you process and heal, all while respecting your pace and needs. You’ll be encouraged to reconnect with your body and emotions in a way that feels gentle and empowering. We’ll focus on building trust and self-compassion, making space for trial and error, and celebrating the progress you make, no matter how small it may seem.

  • When life brings hardship, you may not know what to do next. We can work together to address those hardships and lighten the stresses that weigh us down. We will journey together to navigate your unique experiences and discover the strengths, needs, wants, and challenges you need to face.

  • Relationships can be difficult, often leading to disconnection, miscommunication, and lack of attunement. Together we can address underlying vulnerable emotions and work towards improving communication, codependency, and intimacy. Acknowledging LGBTQ+ couples also face additional stressors like societal discrimination, legal challenges, and unsupportive families, making therapy especially beneficial.

  • Being a teen is tough. Managing friendships, balancing school and activities, and planning for the future can be overwhelming. Whether it be stress management, processing difficult emotions, or needing someone they can relate to, I'm here to offer guidance and a listening ear to help navigate these challenges.

  • Ages 5 and up

Some kids need therapy to navigate emotional and behavioral challenges, trauma, or school and social difficulties. I focus on helping children develop emotional regulation skills, empowering them to manage their feelings in healthy ways in a safe and nurturing environment. Play therapy provides a safe, expressive space where kids can process their experiences and build problem-solving skills through play.
